I really love the challenge, make me want to do more.

Planning on going to the Comber Earlies Festival this Saturday on my bike along the Comber Greenway. It's the perfect way to carry spuds back! #GetMeActiveNI
Night out at the Opera House, took the Glider into town, catching the last urby bus home. No stress.
The customer service on NI Railways is excellent. Last Friday a staff in Coleraine helped me get across the platforms for a quick changeover for the Portrush Train. Today a lovely ticket collector found my coat which I had dropped. They were so helpful and lovely. First class service.`
We decided to go to Ards Airshow on Saturday and for first time used the glider to Dundonald park and ride then free shuttle bus directly to airfield. Was very impressed with both glider and shuttle bus frequency. Much better for the environment and no hassles with traffic jams or parking win win
Car shared with friends to travel to a concert in Dublin. We had great chat and craic during the jouney. Also split the driving which was good.
Anyone know when the sun is coming back?! Really helps the bike commute!
Pure roastin' today!
Who knew getting the bus to and from work could be so relaxing!
This has been great to get me out walking again!
Monday I got of the bus early and walked the remainder of the way to the office.
This year's challenge is a real challenge - my husband returned from hospital on 7th. I am making an effort to still participate to include short walks with him to build up his strength.
Our 🐶 🐕 needs a walk - he is getting old so I am taking him on short walks. He now tells me when he wants to return home (by pulling in the direction of our 🏡).
I take time out to go swimming some evenings and I get a short walk to the leisure centre.
Electric bicycle along the towpath from Scarva, then the train from Portadown to Belfast to visit my elderly mum. Gorgeous weather, absolutely lovely day 😁
First time I've ever cycled to the dentist, a smile worth waiting for!
Upgraded the 0.7 mile route to 1 mile - took me a while 😁
My first time cycling to Queen's since I started back in Oct 24... My impressions... Loved it, particularly cycling along tow path, sun shining on the Lagan and hearing the birds sing and ending up getting a lovely break fast at the end and meeting other staff from across Queen's... Few things ... You need to be organised the night before, bike checked, bag packed makes getting out easier. My journey was about 7km door to door first two 2 Km on a shared path alongside busy roads, felt safe but only thing to watch out for is low hanging branches that can hit your head and paths/hedges a bit overgrown leaving the path narrower. Tow path is amazing but interestingly never seen other cyclists on tow path this morning 11th June... But lots of dog walkers and runners. Thank you Queen's sustainability team for encouraging me to cycle to work and get to experience what it feels like and the things I need to think about. Great having changing facilities and safe place to store bike. Will hopefully make this a more regular activity particularly on sunny mornings... I got here quicker by bike than my normal commute of walking to the park and ride bus plus I get the added bonus of getting some well needed exercise and saving money. If u have not tried it before I would recommend giving it a go. Plan your route, even do a dummy run first, get your stuff ready the night before and get out on the bike and enjoy. Happy cycling and if you can find a cycling buddy :-)
Forgot to check the weather before going out - turned into a power walk 😅
When are we going to join the rest of 21st Century Europe and takes steps to place restrictions on SUVs entering our town centres in NI ??
I love cycling, I use my bike for everything like how other people use their cars for shopping or going out, I use my bike like that. I feel great when I am cycling.
Well, my 25 year old bike started acting up and had to be replaced while it's being looked at (corroded steering) so that I could continue with the quest! This bike has no mud guards - here in Ireland this can become a challenge once it starts raining again... let's see how we get on, I feel so much better starting the day after a brisk morning cycle. Clothing can be a challenge as I need to look respectable, but I've sorted a few bike-compatible outfits that do the job! loving my waterproof florescent backpack.
