Cycled to my leisure centre yesterday where I attended a class and then used the pool. I then cycled along the towpath (had short walks too) and then back home.
Updates
Decided after getting sent home early from work on Tuesday that we would walk home from work, rather than getting the bus in town 🚌 Was still a relatively nice day so it was a great walk home.
The challenge has encouraged me to get out walking again in the mornings before work on work from home days, this makes the morning for our 6 month old pup too.
Using breaks for quick walks around town it's a good way to keep your head clean:)
Gorgeous lunchtime walk yesterday to get those steps in and see the sunshine!
Managed to get a seat on the 212 which is no mean feat!
It's been a soggy old week, but still clocking up those active journeys with an umbrella in tow. Looking forward to week 2!
In Greyabbey this weekend caravanning so I expect there should be many short walks - back and forth today getting organised for others arriving. Hoping to have the odd long one but this weather would need to pick up.
Heavy showers in Derry today - no rain, no game!
A nice change walking through the park to the shops instead of taking the car
Went for a lovely walk after work yesterday to top up my step count for the day!
Parked further away than usual and walked the rest of the way!
First day of active travel month
Walking to work and using public transport since April 2026
I took part in 2023, 2024 and 2025 (and many years ago too) with others within my work (RQIA). In April I took early retirement so hoping now to participate as an 'individual'.
cant wait to start logging journeys
Roll on June!
